    This is so embarrassing, as if the same government doesn’t actively destroy the QOL of their own citizens with their corruption.

  9. To be honest, I don’t see how this is compatible with EU membership. We’ve all seen what happened in the U.S. when the steady erosion of basic rights and values was ignored — and sadly the EU is starting to look a bit similar to the earlier stages of that. We’ve an overly polite centre and establishment that can be utterly spineless and prefers to look the other way, hoping it’ll all somehow sort itself out.

    It’s not just this issue, it’s loads of issues — including democracy and rule of law. The drift just keeps drifting to the point we’ve what’s looking rather like electoral autocracy being fully tolerated and normalised.

  10. Could we, like, throw Hungary out of Schengen and the EU? At least temporarily? At least stop the flow of all the EU funds that just vanish in Orbans/Orbans friends pockets?

    Why the hell should I want my taxpayer money to go to little Putin? I think this would bolster EU support in western Europe.

    Step 2: If yes, throw Hungary out of EU

    Step 3: If no, tell Hungarian people to get rid of Orban asap

  17. Everyone should look at this and be alarmed that if this is allowed to happen, one day – sooner than later – this will be my rights being taken away from me.

  19. It’s not abou them, everyone makes it about LGBTQ+ but it’s not JUST against them, but basically any gatherings they say it’s harmful for children. Thats why it shouldn’t only about that. Whats next then? Banning TISZA? Fuck this excuse of a human being (orban).
