Cathie Wood, CEO and CIO at ARK Invest, has spoken out in support of President Donald Trump’s tariff policy, calling it ‘the opposite’ of regressive.
According to Wood, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s newfound leadership takeover of trade negotiations in the wake of the president’s announcement will ‘lead to lower tariffs and non-tariff barriers.’
Wood went as far as to call Trump’s tariffs a ‘shock therapy’ that would lead to serious negotiations between the US and its trade partners.
