They always were, truth be told…but only if you were on the lower end of the financial spectrum.
Saldy, they still defunded services, and always will.
how only 39%, shows how well the bluster and misinformation works
I think low taxes are good and bad, high taxes on the other hand are good and bad

But what the public forget it was Corbyn that made the Tories raise taxes!
It dosen’t matter. 6 weeks before the next election he will throw the public a bone, they will tug their forelocks, kiss the hem of his garments and the stupid bastards will vote the Tories in again.
I am less concerned about the amount of tax and more concerned about the amount of return on the tax paid.
Slap me in the face with Nordic taxes, but given me Nordic levels of societal return? I’m kinda OK with that TBH. It’d be a culture shift, but probably better than the Tory shaft.
Edit: And I would like to see the loopholes that permit those with vast wealth to avoid paying their share slammed shut.
Given that the Conservatives are the party of the elderly – they will naturally plump for high taxes on income derived from labour, and lower taxes on assets, or income derived from those assets.
Probably because Labour hasn’t taxed anyone since 2010
Wow a Labour poll favored Labour. Next you’ll tell me the Electro-Shock Survivors of the UK polled in favor of Boris Johnson’s hair care regiment.
Where did people expect the free furlough money to come from?
If taxes where spent in a way we actually saw them being useful I don’t think people would mind higher taxes.
It’s just the feeling our taxes are being wasted (which they are it seems on pointless shit), and I feel a party who can show that the common person what there tax does in real world tangible physical benefits (i.e. potholes, NHS stuff) I feel people will accept higher taxes.
