The first trailer for Survivor: Australia v the World has been released, and American reality TV legend Parvati Shallow is having fun trying out her Australian accent.
“Oh, the sweet little baby Aussies think they know how to play Survivor,” she giggles in the promo video while shifting some of her vowels to sound like a more authentic Down Under denizen. “They’re so cute!” Watch the moment above at the 20-second mark.
Parvati is joined by fellow Americans Cirie Fields and Tony Vlachos in this international version of the classic competition. All three of them know what it’s like to claim a show’s ultimate prize money, with Parvati winning Survivor Season 16, Tony winning Survivor Seasons 28 and 40, and Cirie winning The Traitors Season 1.
“What would you say if I asked you to play the best game in the world with the top players from around the globe? That’s a HARD YES,” Parvati wrote on social media. “The world tour continues! Catch me on Australian Survivor this summer.”
Speaking of that “world tour,” the 42-year-old Florida native recently filmed Deal or No Deal Island in the Panama Islands, placing fourth. Last year, she competed in the Scottish Highlands on The Traitors, where she played a villainous Traitor. On the United States version of Survivor, Parvati visited four different exotic locales: Cook Islands (Season 13), Micronesia (Season 16), Samoa (Season 20), and Fiji (Season 40).
She now returns to Samoa for Survivor: Australia v the World, which filmed last year and begins airing in June. Hosted by Jonathan LaPaglia, this so-called “Olympics of Survivor” sees 14 fan-favorite players taking part in a shortened 16-day global showdown, where one will be crowned the Sole Survivor and win $250,000.

The cast photos for Survivor: Australia v the World have been unveiled, and they confirm that the seven-person Australian tribe will consist of David Genat, George Mladenov, Janine Allis, Kirby Bentley, Luke Toki, Sarah Tilleke, and Shonee Bowtell. If David’s name sounds familiar, that’s because he and Parvati recently played together on Deal or No Deal Island, with David winning a record $5.8 million. As for the “World” part of the show, Tommi Manninen (Finland), Lisa Holmes (New Zealand), Kass Bastarache (Quebec), and Rob Bentele (South Africa) are joining Parvati, Cirie, and Tony’s tribe.
The international program will air on Australia’s Network 10. There are no current plans for U.S. distribution of the program. Likewise, older seasons of Australian Survivor are not available to watch in the States due to streaming rights issues. (Online Survivor communities continue to debate this hot topic.)
As far as whether she’d want to take part in the 50th season of the American Survivor, Parvati tells Gold Derby, “I would have a hard time, because it doesn’t seem like people want to play with me, or they haven’t in the past. So, I’m not really feeling compelled to go out.” Comparatively, she says her upcoming stint on Survivor: Australia v the World will be a “wild ride.” Watch our interview:
