Think it was always going to swing that way when you look at how the indy vote went, the older tended to vote stay. As they die off, and the uk is still pretty much a mess, the kids growing up will want that change
Greens joint second would provide enough steam from boilt piss to power out renewables sector for the next parliament.
Greens in second place. Labour in fourth. Reform in sixth. I would not be able to contain my laughter for weeks.
However, I am really gonna remain skeptical about those numbers. I just don’t see what Alba can do in an election without a functional leadership, any sort of presence, or any history of doing well at a local level, enough to get 7% on the list.
As much as I would love to see these results, this is sadly (as a poll) abject nonsense and pure fantasy.
Absolute nonsense poll again from “Find Out Now”
Poll predicts Labour being punished for being useless.
Fixed that for you.
Great to hear it.
Will they threaten us with leaving the eu again?
I’m kind of surprised that the SNP are only getting 35% on the constituency vote, given how the other parties seem determined to shoot themselves in the foot at every opportunity.
Sarwar Surge lmao
I’ve never hoped for it more! We need it
Interesting fact is that if the SNP won 57 seats as this poll says that would be their worst election performance since 2007. They will still almost certainly form the Government though.
In my opinion Alba will never get 7 seats, they’ll be lucky if they get 1 – their support base is just far too small and they’ve never elected anyone before, not even a Councillor.
Labour having less seats than the Greens is also just not going to happen, I’d swap those numbers around.
I think the SNP and Tory numbers are about right though. Reform may be undervalued as I think they could get at least 10 at the expense of the Tories.
There’s been a pro-independence majority in Holyrood for 14 years so whether this will actually change anything is doubtful.
We heard that before the de facto referendum that the pro independence side lost
But but . The Scottish conservatives say the snp are to stop talking about independence.
Our English masters will never allow another referendum. They know they would lose. And after Brexit they cannot afford to lose Scotland. Oil and whisky are their major exports. They will send tanks into Scotland before they allow us another vote.
It’s only going to get worse in the future for the Union as Labour and the Conservatives barrel on with austerity and low growth
A huge majority for pro independence will be a moot point as there is no way a Westminster government will acquiesce to a referendum.
The SNP are very conservative with how they want to challenge the status quo so UDI is out of the question. There could be a court challenge but may take longer than a Parliament sitting.
An unsanctioned vote like Catalonia may be the only recourse with the hope it puts political pressure on Westminster from the international community.
Open to all any and all solutions that don’t involve violence.
SNP on course to running Scotland for nearly a quarter of a century, pretty astounding, and ofc because they are the main pro Independence party. But not likely to ever deliver Independence because getting over 50% is elusive.
In some ways it suits them, they are basically gonna be in power forever at this point.
just like those polls saying they would get 40+ seats in westminister, but if the national says so it must be the truth ahahaha
BallotBox seems to suggest this poll is BS, I’m inclined to agree, its too much of a swing from the last polls, probably some kernel of truth to it, but I’d say indy% is lower, though still a majority.
It’s mindboggling to see people who oppose brexit but favor independent Scotland.
It’s the same thing except it would be much worse.
Trade barriers, travel restrictions, need to create new institutions from scratch, etc. And forget about rejoining the EU on day 1, it’s not going to happen
Finally at last the penny has dropped, continued industrial theft of our resources, lies, corruption, Brexshit & never ending English swinging further to the right, there is no place for Scotland in the defunct UK, Scottish independence is inevitable.
All UK Labour had to do was not announce painful austerity measures in their first two years back in power after nearly 15 years out of power. You wouldn’t think it’d be so difficult, but they just couldn’t help themselves.
