MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – An Alabama high school football coach is being recognized by state legislatures for his achievements and years of service.
Tuesday, the House of Representatives presented Blount High School Coach Ben Harris with a resolution congratulating him for being inducted into the National High School Sports Hall of fame.
Harris coached Blount High School to four state titles in the 90s and was a standout player at Alabama State University where he is also a member of the hall of fame.
State Representative Napoleon Bracy, who was a student at Blount High School, presented Harris with the resolution.
The National Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held this June in Canton, Ohio.
