Co-working space for parents opens in Scottsdale with on-site child care

  • 16.04.2025

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Working parents now have a new option to get some work done while getting someone to watch the kids.

A new co-working space called JordanWorks has opened in north Scottsdale, and it’s designed to make life easier for working moms and dads.

Bethany Dean returned emails Tuesday morning while her daughter Goldy was in the room next door playing in the ball pit. It’s a work-play environment the Phoenix mom is pretty fired up about.

“I think in the world we live in now, we need options,” said Dean. “For some people, thats preschool, daycare, or a nanny. This is a good option for a lot of parents who don’t want to have to do those, but can still be here and get work done.”

Dean is one of many working parents who recently discovered the new co-working space off the 101 Freeway and Hayden Road.

Working moms and dads can rent out a quiet office space, and while they’re getting things done, their little ones are having fun in a giant play space with supervised staff members.

“It makes it nice, you can be in a separate area,” said parent Julie Greenberg. “Sometimes when I’m trying to work with my kids and they see me, they just want to be right next to me, so to be able to be right next door, makes it a lot easier.”

Parents also have the option to set up their laptops and do work in the play space as part of the company’s sister business, Jordan’s Corner.

Priscilla Peralta has been here three times and drives from Goodyear.

“I love coming here because of the open space,” said Peralta. “I can see where she is going. It’s great for her to be playing and I can be watching her at the same time.”

Janell Panicko, one of the owners, said she came up with the idea of a unique workspace with her husband to help working parents.

Panicko is a registered nurse with two kids, so she knows what these moms and dads are going through.

“It bridges that gap,” said Panicko. “Parents don’t necessarily want to feel like they are choosing work over their child. We’re helping them not have to make that choice, they can do both here.”

JordanWorks and Jordan’s Corner offers several different options for parents who may want to stop in for a couple of hours, an entire day, or sign up for a monthly membership.
