Now how many did sanctions put right back in there?
Or the flip side, removing the £20 has pushed 400,000 children back into poverty.
That was just with £20 a week too. We could easily afford more than that, which would do so much good for the future of the country, yet we are not only choosing to not do that but we are also choosing to do nothing to help with the current cost of living crisis. The government is choosing to push more people into poverty, as well as pushing those already in poverty even further into it, allowing the gulf between the haves and have-nots to become even wider.
So how many of those families are much *more* than £20 a week worse off now?
What you have to understand though is just how exciting Conservatives find deliberately dumping 400,000 children back into poverty. It’s the greatest thrill of their lives and they couldn’t be happier.
