Hey guys – back with another 'how they grew' on London businesses that absolutely crushed it.
This week it’s Yard Sale Pizza:
- Why they’re not on the apps (Uber Eats, Deliveroo) and why that worked
- Satellite distribution + divisive products for cult following
- Posted £13m turnover last year (and eying national expansion)
I just picked a few of my favourite choices they made – but please share any other cool tidbits down below that I haven’t included 🙂
P.S We’ve done Grind, Beavertown – lmk where we should go next. Atm I’m thinking Runna (the app for, shocker, runners)

Bloody love yard sale.
Bleeker or Morleys
They do loads of deals with local pubs, you sit in those pub seeing everyone order from them. Its hard to resist not getting one yourself
Would love a Runna version!
Earlsfield YSP just opened a few weeks ago and seems to be pretty damn busy. I haven’t tried it yet…
As much as I love this place, national expansion could be the death knell. I remember when Franco Manca was good…..
buns from home!
I love their stuffed crust Sundays, ultimate hangover cure.
Fun Fact: That’s the Yard Sale in Crofton Park in Picture, my local.
Yardsale make genuinely great pizza- massive fan!
I love Yard Sale, but they are definitely on at least one app – Just Eat.
Was so happy when they opened in Hither Green. Also really enjoying your London business writeups.
Rosa’s Thai please!
They have no outlets in West London. What gives?
Their branding kinda fascinates me, because there is zero consistency between each of the stores. Each one looks different, feels different and even has a completely different sign.
Really very good pizza. Hoping that any expansion plans don’t do the same for quality as Franco Manca.
Really want one in Welwyn Garden City. Miss living in Tooting. There’s no good pizza options here!
I used to work in a few of their different shops a few years back. They gave us a free pizza every shift. Didn’t half stack on the pounds.
The collabs they do with other London businesses is great and always entices us back when we (very rarely) are not interested in a TSB.
they’ve been on just eat for ages tho lol
One of my favourite chains.
They collaborate with a lot of cool eatery’s especially In Hackney and they serve at local pubs that don’t have the means to operate a kitchen which keeps us punters in there supporting them.
Gem of a company
Farmer J seems to have exploded all over the city.
Still infuriates me that you can’t get delivery in E3
Love them, but we’re *still* out of their delivery radius. So have only had it a couple times. (weeps)
Columbo Group (Jazz Cafe, Blues Kitchen, XOYO and several other clubs, numerous pubs)
Star group pubs?
