  1. She married Russell Brand. She’s not the brightest bulb

  2. Yep the elite are planning for space tourism while everyone else is struggling to keep up. Meanwhile absolutely no other solutions from left on how they would be fixing things differently. All we get is that Trump’s plan is bad.

  3. The media and rich people who are out of touch have not quite realized everyone is sick of bullshit media about of touch rich people

  4. Exactly. Rich people doing rich people things. Don’t think you’re Sally Ride by any means,… you’re very not. You’re also NOT Astronauts. You were at best,… passengers.

  5. It’s not a real space trip if you’re still close enough to fall back down, this is like “AI” branding.

  6. What a weird era for her. We rarely see major pop stars misfire so badly, so consistently.

  7. I think it’s hilarious that her album with Luke didn’t even chart!

  8. The trench between rich & poor is deep and wide. While most of the world is embarrassed about this.. she doesn’t care. Everyone surrounding her is telling her she’s a female astronaut, she’s happy.

And that sucks.. nothing gets better if it’s comfortable for the abuser.

  9. Yeah but what’s Ja Rule’s take on it?

This isn’t worth a thought. Much less an article. Just…shh.

  10. But It was ground breaking. A bunch of rich chicks goin into lower orbit. You know where the sr72 used go every day.

  11. I’ll take “news no-one gives a shit about” for 500 please Jerry.

  12. I get why everyone is pissed, and mostly agree. But let’s be real. If any of us had a chance to go to space for free we’d take it.

Now if she had to pay for the trip, eff her with a rusty spoon.

Counter point: rich people waste way more money on way more meaningless stuff. It’s not like the allocation of funds in the world is based on what will best serve humanity. If anything, more is spent on vanity than humanity.

  13. I hate that the two women who deserved the opportunity to go into space Aisha Bowe and Amanda Nguyen, had to share space for these wealthy celebrities and steal the spotlight from their work and genuine dedication to space research. Meanwhile NASA is erasing women from public spaces.

  14. I’ll give them the same kind of credit I give for skydiving or bungy jumping. There was absolutely risk involved and I personally wouldn’t do it. But there was no skill or effort involved. It was space tourism.

  15. It was all a stunt. Just for stupid Bezos so he can have some nice publicity and cost him the equivalent of $10. No thanks. It did nothing except show how out of touch and a waste billionaires are. They do nothing for the rest of society.

  16. Look I don’t question her. It’s not her fault she was offered, and if you’re offered, you are dumb not to accept, especially if you have an interest in atmospheric experiences.

So this shouldn’t be on her, it should be on the decision-makers and organizers of the flight.

  17. Blue origin is nothing but being out of touch.

Wanna make an impact? Provide free trips to those who actually deserve being in space. Even if for 11 minutes.

  18. Between her album and this, she is someone who will fall on her face spectacularly, and actually what it does is expose that fewer people than you’d think actually understand the movements they are supporting or promoting, they understand how they personally can benefit but that’s where it ends

I guarantee there are plenty of people who saw this initial “women in space” news story and were like “hell yeahhh….(looks around)…oh wait I mean boooo”

  19. As a woman in biotech who lived in poverty while obtaining her PhD, I feel so inspired that Katie has so much love to give

  20. One thing I want make clear is Jeff bezos billionaire joy ride rocket is a hydrogen and oxygen propellant rocket which when combustion makes just water as by product. Little emissions from the launch of the blue origins new Shepard rocket itself.

  21. I’m thinking Katy may have been picked to go on this trip as the scapegoat to take the heat off of others involved in this rich people shit. (Please don’t take this as me defending Katy Perry for this or anything else. Just an observation.)
