Luigi Mangione was indicted on four charges by a New York grand jury in the December killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City. 

Mangione, 26, was hit Thursday with a four-charge indictment, which included two counts of stalking, firearms offense and murder through the use of a firearm. The charges would make him eligible for the death penalty, which the Department of Justice (DOJ) is pushing for, if convicted. 

Attorney General Pam Bondi directed federal prosecutors earlier this month to seek the death penalty for Mangione, who is accused of gunning down Thompson, 50, on Dec. 4 in Manhattan. 

Mangione was tracked down and arrested at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pa., five days after the fatal shooting.

  3. Fed conviction on this high profile crime probably puts him in ADX Flores…I’d rather just get the death penalty if the stories about that place are true.

  11. Stalking charges? I mean I get the legal interpretation of that, but thought those were usually protective charges.

    I know there’s a lot of moral wiggle room here, but legally speaking I feel releasing him would be a slap in the face to our justice system. We absolutely cannot set a precedent for legal murder.

    I respect the decision he made, but he should have to live with it, and we should be looking to ways to hold CEOs and the rich more accountable for the laws they break and the death they cause.

    That being said murdering him for this is also fucking ridiculous.

How many sick or wounded people were denied coverage after paying outrageous prices for insurance? How many people were put into crushing debt because United Healthcare denied an insurance claim?

    Healthcare insurance is a racket run by corrupt capitalists who enjoy price gouging people in their time of need

  18. So school shooting murderers never get charged federally, despite video of their actual crimes. Yet one man gets charged federally with absolutely no evidence that he was a shooter, so that nutcase Bondi can make a statement that rich executives’ lives are more important than school childrens’ lives.
