They used to bring kids to the cinema every Sat and Sun at 12 noon!
Such an innovator Feargal Quinn was.
They still are bar the branding. Supervalu stores are divided into two groups, the owner run franchises like Rush’s or Pettits. And then the MOPI stores, which are centrally run and are the former superquinn stores

The hot counter with the hotdogs in northside were great and those chicken burgers with the garlic sauce and the taco sauce. So damn good.
Loved their freshly made hotdogs, unreal 👌

Their stores looked and smelled different than what we have today.
I loved their Thrift and then later their Euro Shopper brands. Some great value to be had.

Ah memories, getting up on a Saturday, getting fresh bread and the newspapers and spending the morning reading them and eating tea and lovely toast with the boyfriend…bliss

Worked in Superquinn for 9 years. 2006-2015. Some of the best memories of my life were there. Lucan branch.

My friend robbed this place blind in college. Back when self checkouts were a new thing.
Their jam donuts were delectable.
Superquinn. Whatever happened there?
Superquinn sausages. Their pizzas were great.
Times weren’t simpler. You were younger and more innocent and shielded by your parents and teahers from the harsh realities of life.
