Preference in flemish. It's for the name of a 1/72 scale model of a pilot the because it didn't fit in the airplane he will be next to Tó Zé (steriotypical portuguese name) a bomber gunner that also didn't fit in the model. That is a picture of them hanging out (green is Tó Zé, blue is to be named by you)

Not sure why a Flemish guy would be flying an American ww-2 era plane but how about “Alfons Peeters”. Alternatively “Jan Mertens”.

In honour of the first WW2 Belgian flyer victim you should name him [Xavier Henrard](https://www.hangarflying.eu/erfgoedsites/graf-hurricane-piloot-xavier-henrard-h-26/).

Gerrit Callewaert, but less stereotypical: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_de_Selys_Longchamps](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_de_Selys_Longchamps)

Not a Flemish name, but have you considered [Jean de Selys Longchamp](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_de_Selys_Longchamps)? Belgian aristocrat & RAF pilot who singlehandedly attacked the Gestapo headquarters in Brussels.
