PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) — Palm Beach County completed a climate risk vulnerability assessment predicts that new challenges may be on the horizon for residents.
These potential threats include an increased risk of flooding and extreme heat, according to Palm Beach County officials. To prepare for these changes, officials are developing a Resilience Action Plan (RAP), which outlines strategies to help the government infrastructure prepare for climate-related impacts.
Upcoming workshops will be open to the public, and the community is encouraged to provide input to the RAP project team.
