A Hollywood celebrity reportedly turned down a request from Meghan Markle because of her loyalty to Princess Kate, it has been claimed. Speaking on the YouTube channel ‘Andrew Gold & Kinsey Schofield’, US royal commentator, Kinsey Schofield said: “I heard rumours that Meghan was trying to get Reese Witherspoon on Archetypes, Reese Witherspoon politely declined.

“I heard it through the grapevine that it’s because Reese Witherspoon loves the Princess of Wales, loves Catherine and didn’t want to do anything to jeopardise any sort of social clout she has with Catherine, the future Queen.” The Hollywood starlet who has appeared alongside Jennifer Aniston in the award-winning Apple TV+ drama The Morning Show since 2019, met the Prince and Princess of Wales in 2011 during their first overseas trip as a married couple.

In her 2018 book ‘Whiskey in a Teacup’, she described the memorable encounter in Los Angeles at a charity event. She wrote: “I don’t even know how I got so lucky as to receive the invitation. The scream that issued from my lips upon receiving it – you would have thought I was going to die.

“I was up at 4am doing my hair. That’s early, even for me. I was up, dressed and waiting by the door by 7am. Jim took pictures of me in the car. You can see rays of happiness shooting out of my face. I love Kate Middleton that much. And she did not disappoint! She was just lovely and warm, elegant and composed.”

It continued: “She also told a joke, and I immediately fell under her spell. She’s just as magnificent as she seems to be. She’s a very compassionate, socially conscious, deeply caring person.”

The US Express claimed that Aniston has also been approached to appear on the new Sussex podcast. A source said: “Meghan is hoping Jen will be there for her – as soon as possible – as a guest. Meghan knows she needs a major A-list name to bounce back fast after such a mixed start.”

The US Express added that sources close to both Markle and Aniston said that only “tentative talks” about a podcast appearance have taken place so far, with “nothing set in stone yet.”

Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan’s new podcast, launched on April 9, with Meghan Markle‘s first guest the CEO of dating app, Bumble – Whitney Wolfe Herd.
