  1. RemindMe! 20 January 2029 “Did Trump’s presidency end badly in the sense Karl Rove meant in the linked article?”

  2. The whole world is exhausted having to listening to his and his band of merry idiot’s incessant lies and bullshit.

The entire world is going to have to be on antidepressants if this keeps up. 🙄

  3. I think most of us agree it will end badly. Now we just want to know WHEN it will end badly.

  4. Trump needs to go but more importantly the enablers who built him up like FOX needs to be held accountable. Otherwise they do it again with another Trump like ghoul.

  5. No shit we’re exhausted. It’s breaking news every fucking day now.

  6. He’s just as responsible as anyone else who voted for the magats and built up this evangical white supremacy. He wants a christian nation just like the rest of the robber barons!

  7. Can’t end fast enough. I’ll happily take a sane Republican over this shit.

  8. There’s a big military parade being planned for his birthday and MAGA is already working on having him serve another term and maybe even more after that so if Rove has any ideas it’s time to get off the sideline and into the game!!!

  9. Exhausted is such a good word for this. And to his credit Jeb Bush called it 12 years ago when he said that a Trump presidency would be chaos. It was and it is.

America was so exhausted after his first term. When Biden took over Just not having to wake up and look at your phone every AM to see what Trump did the night before was what everyone needed.

It always seemed that the main job of the President is ultimately to keep the car on the road. And most everyone D or R in history has understood that The machine turns slowly, by design. It’s not always good but slow at least allows people to catch up. And when you have 350 M citizens of all ranges of education/background/etc slow is fine.

Trump is a disrupter. I mean he’s also a shallow egomaniacal thin skinned asshole bent on revenge as a primary motivation and making $$ as a secondary.

But he’s also a disruptor. He does not abide by rules or laws or traditions or courtesies. That may be fine in business and real estate but it doesn’t sit well in governance of a nation of 350M.

People generally need a steady hand. Chaos scares people, shakes the economy, rattles the order of things. People get antsy. Agitated. No one does well with change on a personal level it’s disruptive….but now put that on a mass scale.

As much as his most ardent supporters hate Biden, really unjustifiably so, my guess is that many of them would admit anonymously that they liked the calm of Biden and that while they love their precious leader they think his personality is too much at times.

Rove is correct. The question is when will it end and will America be able to bounce back. America and democracy is really only as strong as the institutions that hold it up. Things like separation of powers, Bicameralism, power of the Courts, etc. If those continue to be shredded and devalued then the republic will be forever changed.

    Sorry for the novella.

  10. Who thought I would agree with something Rove said. Holy shit.

  11. This asshole pushed the concept of a strong executive under Bush/Cheney. He paved the way, and now he’s saying, “oopsie?”

    Yeah. Fuck him.

  12. Can he be impeached, and if so, will that do anything to actually get rid of the orange cancer?

  13. Could it have started any worse? Too bad bush and rove weren’t out campaigning for Harris. They need to accept some blame

  14. Yeah,
Carl sees the pitchforks and torches coming for Trump.
As the public sees the absolute destruction of our economy…

  15. Started badly, went downhill fast on the big middle section but ended with the entire cabinet being arrested, so all’s well that ends well?

  16. And this timeline just keeps getting worse. Now we have to hope that Karl Rove of all people is correct… 😒

  17. reading history:

He worked for Dubya, who used to call him Turd Blossom . . .

he devised the technique of attacking an opponent’s strongest virtue, strongest accomplishment with an onslaught of lies and defamation from every quarter . . .

he enabled the Bush Crime Family in transferring a cool trillion into the pockets of themselves, Cheney, MIC cronies . . . by blowing up Iraq, murdering a million, occupying, rebuilding for years . . .

and in continuing to add billions to the US national debt every year to fund genocide in palestine . . .

complicit media still give this stooge depravity a platform — why?

  18. Yeah we had enough. If he keeps banning rights and freedoms will express our displeasure in the form of economic shutdowns.

  19. Fuck Carl Rove. He should have spoken out BEFORE Trumple Thinskin was elected.

  20. It started badly, it’s going badly, so that tracks.

  21. If this is only month 4, just imagine what year 3 is gonna be like

  22. What a gaslighting piece of shit. Eighty percent are locked in on what he’s doing. Believes in by partisan work in the legislature. Do republicans think that Americans have this short of an attention span. Just another charlatan running off at the mouth

  23. All I can say to the people who approve of the way Trump is handling the Presidency so far — “Golly, you took a healthy slug of that Kool-Aid, didn’t you?”.

  24. Every Republican administration since Bush I ended badly.

…January 20th, 2029 will make it four full decades of Republican administrations that have bad endings.

  25. Says the guy who helped get us to where we are now. Fuck off Rove, you helped put us here!
