   Biden is correct. The US economy was, at the time, the envy of the world.

Even the conservative Wall Street Journal described the U.S. economy in October 2024 as the “envy of the world.” Trump, Republicans, and Fox News CONSTANTLY decried the economy as a disaster (just as they did leading up to the 2016 election) and for some inexplicable reason voters believed it. As a retired AP Macroeconomics teacher I am appalled at how economically illiterate Americans are. I did my best, but I’m only one teacher.
