DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) – Lake Superior College showed off its growing aviation program Friday night.
LSC hosted its annual aviation open house inside the school’s center for advanced aviation.
Attendees got to see LSC’s fleet of aircrafts, tour technology labs, do hands-on demonstrations and more.
School leaders say there’s strong workforce demand for aviation maintenance technicians and professional pilots.
“Our economy runs on aviation,” said a worker at LSC, David Kline. “Its a major component for transportation and we’re proud to help train the next generation of pilots and mechanics for the aviation industry.”
Those in attendance also got a chance to check out the school’s state of the art flight simulators.
