   /i for irony. J D Vance, if you’re reading this, regardless of whether or not the Chinese are peasants, they are certainly not stupid.

2. The US gave up on thorium reactors ~ 50 years ago because although it has definite advantages over uranium it’s also hideously difficult to maintain the reactor.

   I will be Interested to see how long this Chinese research reactor keeps running.
