2 Gardaí that cover both Ballymun and Dublin airport, 2. That’s it, really, just 2 Gardaí.
Something rotten, all the way to the top.
No shit Sherlock.
What about 7524 kilometres of coastline that’s activity being patroled by one boat.
“What about the security?”
“Security??! Haha you’re looking at!”
Just legalise it, problem solved.
A perk of the job
In other breaking news, water is wet.
They needed to do a report on this? Honestly, how could drugs be getting through were it not for corruption? Instead of wasting time reporting on tried and tested methods that the dogs in the street could tell you about they should follow the money trail from the post-sale, that’s a report I’d like to learn more about
Archaic drug laws ‘central’ to operations of organised crime gangs in Ireland
And you think all those random Car/Van stops that just happen to be filled with coke or weed are coincidences? ha!
This is hardly a surprise .
add in our coastline that is monitored by one boat and how easy it is to fly into this country undetected but a dream for hands to operate here.
Well if your rates of pay are low expect staff in positions like this to be easily tempted.
Just my two cents, but it’s probably hard to convince people making €12 an hour to not accept a bribe of €500 or €1000 a month to look the other way when it comes to their jobs at an airport.
If they made more money, it would probably be easier to convince them not to take the risk of going to prison for letting drugs in.
Season 2 is vastly underrated
Maybe pay the workers more so they don’t have to turn to crime.
This is old news
I don’t really understand though, if it’s so easy to get drugs into the country, why the fuck are they so expensive?
At 12 quid an hour I’d look the other way too ffs
>The publication comes just a day after the sentencing to 21 years for Irish criminal and Kinahan Organised Crime Group leader Thomas ‘Bomber’ Kavanagh for a drug importation racket in the UK.
21 years? Jesus lads! Its not like he didn’t pay his TV licence!
Grow up and fucking legalize
Same story with the Gardai, name your price! That big bag of tax-free cash is very appealing
Jim Mansfield flew mountains of drugs in to Citywest Airport with zero checks, made such a fortune he appeared on The Late Late as a “self made business man”. Gardai and customs were clearly in his pocket. His scumbag cokehead son has just gone to jail.
