  3. The headline here fails to mention that the supposed block is merely a “stay” of the orders to deport… and the “stay” can be removed when the court actually issues a ruling on the ACLU appeal. So this is a ***temporary block***, and should have been headlined as such – lest those opposing the deportations think that they’ve actually won the battle.

  25. Thomas and Alito dissenting is just expected at this point. Those two NOT dissenting about bringing Kilmar Garcia back genuinely shocked me. I figured they would cite some scrap of paper that Thomas Jefferson once used to wrap his weed with to claim that there is historical precedent for Kilmar to be deported without due process.

    So far as I’m concerned, this article is borderline clickbait, because no-one, absolutely no-one, in the US has any power to change things anymore bar those at the top – who are beholden to their own whims which they try to codify into laws which they inevitably end up breaking.
