The most important event in Saturday’s 17th meeting of the season was a class Premier race on a long distance of 3140m.
This race was won by French Fitzy De Vive driven by Laura Frendo. Saturday’s programme consisted of eight races all for trotters.
Fourteen trotters lined up for the class Premier race. Fitzy De Vive (Laura Frendo) was one of the fastest horses at first. This French trotter took the lead after few metres and led all the way.
It breezed past the finishing post first easily by three lengths from Hana AM (Justin Attard) and Franky Satyne (Marius Mizzi). Eveil Du Lupin (Noel Baldacchino) ended in fourth place. For Fitzy De Vive this was its first win in Malta.
The winner clocked an average time of 1.15.6” per kilometer. Another meeting will be held on April 27. The first race should start at 1.30pm.
