Overnight, the skies over Latvia will clear only occasionally and short-term rain is expected in many places, with heavy thundershowers in others. Winds will be slow to moderate from the south, gusting to 15-19 metres per second during thunderstorms.

Minimum temperatures will be +10 to +15 C, and +8…+9 C in western areas.

In Riga, short-term rain is expected overnight, with the possibility of heavy thundershowers in the beginning of the night. Winds will be gusty, gusting to 15 metres per second during thunderstorms. The minimum air temperature will be +13 to +14 C.

Easter will be dominated by cyclones. Rain and locally heavy thundershowers are expected overnight and in the morning on Easter Day, with decreasing precipitation during the day and locally heavy thundershowers again in the afternoon.

On the second day of Easter, rain with possible thunderstorms is expected only during the night and morning hours. Thunderstorms are also possible in central and eastern areas. Fog will thicken in some areas and may significantly impair visibility.

Slow winds on Easter, gusting at times during thunderstorms. On Easter Day, the air will warm up to +15 C to +20 C, even to +22 degrees in Latgale, but only +11 to +15 C on the Kurzeme coast. A colder air mass will gradually move into the country, so the thermometer will dip to +6 C to+11 C at night and +11 to +16 C during the day, and +16 to +21 Cin the south-east; many parts of the coast will be a few degrees colder.
