  1. That’s a regular hunter’s lookout. You can see it all over Germany.

  2. In my area it’s called a “Hochstand” or “Hochsitz”. It’s a place for hunters to sit and observe and hunt animals. Sometimes they even have a door and nice benches in them.

  3. Do not let you fool about them! They are not for hunters but for german citizens to watch and judge about other citizens. The Brits have the same! /s

  4. they are for hunters. since its elavated, they can look further and if they miss, the bullet goes directly into the ground, which is an important thing here in germany, as we are a densly populated place.

  5. They’re “Hochsitze”. They’re used by Hunters so they don’t need to shoot in a strait line, as a stray bullet once hit a man in the stomach.

  6. It’s a watchtower level 1. The owner might not have enough resources to upgrade it.

  7. Now the question is answered, can someone tell me the name of the shrubs in the pic with white blooms? I see them everywhere on my runs, but I don’t know the name.

  8. They shoot deers etc from there to control the population
