Well said.
We love Charlie!
😂 😂 I didn’t realize making comedy legal again meant making us more of an international laughing stock.
This rules. More people need to speak this truth.
I don’t know him but I really like him!
He would be very offended if he knew what any of those words meant.
He’ll find out in a day or two when an aide tells him it’s “mean words”, and then go on another tariff rant.
That’s our Boy!
Elbows Up !
Fuck Trump!
>In a shocking twist, a Canadian politician had something nice to say about President Donald Trump… sort of.
>**Retiring Ontario MP and member of the New Democratic Party Charlie Angus** appeared on the MeidasTouch podcast this weekend, and surprised everyone by taking the time to thank Trump for his work in bringing Canadians together.
>Delivering his speech to host Ben Meiselas, Angus said, **“Donald Trump, I’m going to say this once—and I might never say it again—I want to thank you. I want to thank you for bringing Canada together.”**
>He continued, **“It took a malignant narcissistic slug like you to make us put aside all our differences—all our regional fights, all our concerns with one another—and realize we actually had to stand up for something better: standing up for the rule of law, for democracy, for decency.”**
>Angus went on to hit out at Trump and his “incel gang” who are terrified of diversity, equity and inclusion, adding, **“Your DEI nightmare? Well, we are your DEI nightmare, Donald. Canada will always be a country of diversity. We will always be a country of equity. We will always be a country of inclusion. And we will defend the rule of law.”**
>Canadians have been swift in their rejection of Trump’s suggestion that their country be turned into the United States’ “51st state,” with many Canadians living in the U.S. moving back home and selling their properties rather than continue to live in a country whose leader wants to annex theirs.
>In addition, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has made it clear that Trump’s tariffs and the chaos they inflicted on global markets have soured Canada’s relationship with the U.S. beyond the point of no return. Addressing reporters earlier this month after Trump’s so-called “Liberation Day,” **Carney said of the alliance, “Our old relationship of steadily deepening immigration with the United States is over.”**
>Trump, meanwhile, has backtracked on his previous statements about the U.S. taking over Canada, telling reporters aboard Air Force One late last month, “We don’t need energy from Canada. We don’t need lumber from Canada. We don’t need anything from Canada. I believe this will be the golden age of America.”
Charlie Angus is a national treasure! 🇨🇦
Angus was a missed opportunity for the NDP.
[Does Trump Suffer from Narcissistic Personality Disorder? ](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-human-beast/201608/does-trump-suffer-narcissistic-personality-disorder)
According to DSM-5, individuals with NPD have most (at least five) or all of the symptoms listed below (generally without commensurate qualities or accomplishments).
1. Grandiosity with expectations of superior treatment by others.
2. Fixated on fantasies of power, success, intelligence, attractiveness, etc.
3. Self-perception of being unique, superior, and associated with high-status people and institutions.
4. Needing constant admiration from others.
5. Sense of entitlement to special treatment and to obedience from others.
6. Exploitative of others to achieve personal gain.
7. Unwilling to empathize with others’ feelings, wishes, or needs.
8. Intensely jealous of others and the belief that others are equally jealous of them.
9. Pompous and arrogant demeanor.
Clearly Trump is a poster-boy for NPD. He exhibits every single one of these symptoms to extreme degree.
You have to admit, Trump has done that. I’d hate it if our crap tore Canada apart.
The disrespect to slugs, who actually have a productive place in the ecosystem smh
Charlie Angus should be the next NDP leader.
They couldn’t do it themselves?
Before politics, Angus was in a punk band called “L’etranger” (named after the Camus novel).
He’s definitely having that effect. Like showing kids the dangers of doing drugs except with MAGA politics.
Your welcome!
– bittersweet American
Nice description. Though I feel a little sorry for slugs at this point, being lumped in with Trump.
Jabba the Slug
The good ship MNS Trump.
Trump’s talked so bad about Canada that Canadians are more united than ever—he basically did what centuries of hockey, maple syrup, and apologizing couldn’t.
I’m feeling a stronger bond is also building between countries of the Commonwealth 🇬🇧🇨🇦🇦🇺
Copying Australia.
In 2016 the New South Wales Parliament passed a resolution that Donald Trump is a revolting slug unfit for public office.

Spoken like someone who didn’t fear being defunded, defamed, disenfranchised, or deleted.
I’m now certain that the Westminster parliament system is a more democratic and responsive type of government than the American system
The only benefit of Trump
Is that you, Ellen?
Lol, what an accurate description
“May your neighbours be American” ancient Chinese proverb.
Fantastic! Great move! Well done Angus!
“Malignant narcissistic slug” is a great insult.
Hey, don’t insult slugs like that.
What a different path the NDP would be on if they had chosen Charlie instead of Jagmeet.
