  1. > A man dubbed Britain’s ‘most dangerous prisoner’ who has spent more than four decades in a solitary underground cell

I didn’t know this was an option. Could probably use this sentence for other people who commit heinous crimes too.

  2. I mean, he’s killing child molesters so I’d say give him his PlayStation back.

  3. At least he’s been taking out the trash while he’s been inside

  4. Why in a bulletproof glass box? If he Magneto?

“Most dangerous” for killing 4 people, 3 of them molesters?

    So weird, all this.

  5. I did go and check the article to make sure it wasn’t Magneto.

  6. Why dont we have more of these boxes for terrorists?

  7. What’s the odds of him killing another kiddy-fiddler?

  8. I’ve always felt really sorry for this guy. He’s been in solitary confinement, with minimal stimulation to keep his mind occupied, for decades. I genuinely don’t think the way the justice system has treated him has been fair or humane, even considering his crimes.

  9. I worked at a high security jail in the UK. Myself and a colleague once went on a security related visit to HMP Wakefield. I can confirm the so-called ‘glass box’ does not exist. What is referred to as the Wakefield cages is merely a long walkway with cells on one side. Each cell has an additional set of bars, along with a regular cell door. There is a staircase which goes slightly underground and here there are an additional number of cells, each with a very small window and the same bars and doors.

  10. What if we vitrified him? Like we do with nuclear waste. Then he really would be in a glass box.

  11. Lad bible being sus yet again, why are they painting a nonce killer as the biggest threat to the western world.

  12. I’m sure there are aspects of this that are purely fabricated or at least highly embellished, such as the total lack of an attribution to *who* claimed he was “most dangerous”, for example. But the record for solitary confinement and the manner of imprisonment seem relatively objective (though I’m sure “glass box” is also an embellishment). So what I cannot understand is… how does a man get this level of imprisonment for only killing four people? If we have these kind of super secure underground prison units, why didn’t the Manchester Arena bomber go into one, before he was allowed to attack prison officers with acid? Why was he deemed to be less of a threat to those around him than a 70 year old man who seemingly only kills paedophiles? Three of his four murders took place in prison, is that some kind of record for the UK, in terms of harming other prisoners?

Are sentences subject to inflation? I feel like killing four people in 2025 would get you a 20 year sentence with half of it suspended and early release for good behaviour. Maybe when he was sentenced in the 70s or 80s, just having killed one person, that was considered a LOT? Whereas now we’d have to lower the bar in order to give a stronger sentence to people who have killed 10+ people in an attack?

  13. ‘Lad bible have contacted the ministry of justice for comment’

    Amusing end to the article.

  14. The whole “Kill all pedophiles” routine is getting old guys. It makes you all look deranged. They’re still people, and while their acts are sick, you can’t just go around killing people who break the law or harm others.

  15. Why I remember scene of Silence of the Lambs (Hannibal Lecter )

  16. I thought the media had decided that Charles Bronson / Charles Salvador was “Britain’s most dangerous prisoner”.

  17. In another, more sane universe, this guy would be employed by the state to hunt down child molesters.

  18. What’s the point of keeping someone like that just put him out of his misery at this point Jesus

  19. I’m ok with who he killed but he did commit murder so yeah.

  20. Are there any notorious nonces on F wing at whitemoor?

  21. They keep giving him that title as if they haven’t let that pedo off from the bbc

  22. They keep giving him that title as if they haven’t let that pedo off from the bbc with 0 jail time and how many others

  23. I wonder if this is why he was put on basic at Wakefield. His brother wrote to the papers saying Maudsley was on hunger strike as his books and PlayStation had been taken away, he’s obviously not told his brother the full story, his brother seemed to think he’d done nothing wrong, but sounds like Maudsley had been put on “basic regime” (no TV, no PlayStation etc) which is used as a punishment if you don’t do what you’re supposed do to.

I wonder if Maudsley knew he was being moved, and refused to go. He’d be put on basic for that.

It’s concerning though, his friend has said that he’s not happy there and doesn’t want to be around people, I won’t be surprised if he hurts someone just to get his own way.

Maybe they can use his cell for the guy that recently attacked officers with oil.

  24. He would make a great prime minister in this world.

  25. If the king wanted to gain insane public support he could release this dude in Andrews back garden 🤷‍♂️

  26. I have two small children and although I appreciate the conditions might not suit everybody, the idea of spending time in a glass box, underground, in complete solitary confinement for decades is somewhat appealing.

  27. This guy was never going to get a jim ‘ll fix it badge.
