> Nasser Al Khater, the chief executive of Qatar 2022, was questioned about Southgate’s comments and told Sky Sports News: “My question would be who from the England squad has been to Qatar? My question to the coach is has he been to Qatar?
You don’t need to go to Qatar to know about 2018’s Law 10.3 where they abolished 95% of exit visas for migrant workers, while the last 5% still had to get permission from employers to leave the country. They seem very concerned for their migrant workers… trying to leave that bygone barbaric ‘state’.
Qatar organization is looking very thin skinned, can’t imagine what will happen when inevitably during the games you will have rowdy crowds and chants with political tones
Players should all kiss each other at the start of the match.
Like taking a knee, but to support LGBTQ.
Let’s see Qatar deals with that.
Otherwise he’ll find out what other uses despotic Middle Eastern regimes have for football pitches.
He should be criticizing FIFA for being a corrupt bunch of bastards and giving the tournament to unsavory regimes because they have the fattest brown envelope…
Sounds pretty threatening, like as in don’t visit a Qatari embassy if you don’t fancy being cut into tiny pieces.
I cant believe this is actually happening, what a fiddle this selection was along with Russia’s, some payday for the FIFA delegates back then.
I still found it incredible this world cup is even happening. Most of the people who decided that the world cup would be in Qatar have now been kicked out of fifa and some have faced criminal charges due to corruption. How is this still going ahead?
Money speaks volumes. World Cup should never have gone there in the first place.
