Bayer Leverkusen took just one point from their away game against St. Pauli on Sunday night, leaving Granit Xhaka’s side well behind in the Bundesliga title race. It was the final match of the 30th round of the German championship.

With four rounds to go, Bayern lead the table with 72 points, eight more than second-placed Leverkusen. Bayer Leverkusen are the defending champions but have failed to match the Bavarian giants this season. St. Pauli picked up valuable points in the Bundesliga relegation race.

They are 14th with 30 points, the same number as Hoffenheim in 15th place.

Patrik Schick scored for Leverkusen in the 32nd minute. Carlo Boukhalfa made it 1-1 in the 78th minute. The numbers did not change.

Granit Xhaka completed the match against Leverkusen and was one of the best on the field.
