  1. I suspect we’re going to see more and more direct flights to Canadian and Central/South American destinations which no longer route through the US at all.

  2. I’m all for avoiding the USA but I have to wonder about someone who thinks the USA is dangerous and skips it in favour of Mexico. I’d take my chances with TSA and ICE over cartels and corrupt police.

  3. I would say that there is *more* demand for a direct flight to Saõ Paulo…

  4. It’d be a long oul flight in one go, I always aim to fly Dublin to Toronto, then down to Cancun. 7 hours then a few hours to stretch out / get changed into something more tropical suitable then 4 hours to Cancun. Try to avoid stop overs in the states even before all this latest shite, dealing with the US airports is always hyper stressful. Canada you just breeze through. Doing my 6th trip shortly this way and unfortunately have a us transfer on the return leg, couldn’t avoid it. Will probably be grand but stressful.

  5. Nice spot to get away during the bad weather

  6. Eeeeehhhhhh, just fly to Madrid then you can choose pretty much every south and central American country there is.

  7. The Mexican government and the Irish public have tRump to thank 🙌👏

  8. Will never forget going to Chile over a decade ago and having to fly from from Dublin to NY, wait 12 hours, NY to Florida, get immediately shuffled onto another flight that somehow ended up in Ohio, wait 8 hours, get a flight from Ohio to Lima, wait another 4-6 hours, then Lima to Santiago.

Same shit on the way back. Multiple 6-12 hour waits in various airports. I was young at the time and the whole novelty of the experience of it all was fun but I’d never do that again

  9. you’d love it lads. cancun is amazing. it’s also avoided a lot of the trash short sighted mistakes the costas made.

  10. What happens when 200 per flight for 2 month, get off the plane in Dublin and say “whoops! lost my passports?”.
I know what you think should happen logically, but what will actually happen.? (Hint: There’s about 100,000 samples from last year alone.)

  11. Would love to see direct flights to Medellín in Colombia

It’d make it so much easier for family coming to visit me here and for me flying back to Ireland

  12. Went two years ago.

Canada made a fucking hash of my visa so I couldn’t board my return flight. Thank fuck had flown out through the US so airline were able to route me back through New York and to Dublin.

I sent my wife ahead onto our flight which got delayed so she missed her connection in Toronto. Got flown to London and had to wait 8 hours. She’s never flown alone before 😂😂

Direct flight would be awesome and definitely put Cancun higher up on a holiday list as we loved it
