SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – The Sioux Falls Young Professionals Network (YPN) is hosting a full week of events designed to engage and energize young professionals in the area.

The events run from April 21-24, and will be focused on building relationships, sparking inspiration and celebrating 16 years of operation.

YPN is a network of career-focused young professionals in the Sioux Falls community. They have nearly 1,000 members, aged 21-39, according to their website. Those involved aim to grow professionally and develop the skills they need to succeed in their chosen profession.

Tuesday, April 21 – Kickoff Event

Attendees are invited to contribute to a memory wall and share their YPN experiences for a time capsule video.

Speakers will share their stories and ideas.

Wednesday, April 22 – Bags & BBQ

Sponsored by and held at Reliabank, 608 W. 86th Street, from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Blending food and friendly competition, the event will serve BBQ and hold a bean bag toss tournament.

Thursday, April 23 – Downtown Scavenger Hunt

Held in downtown Sioux Falls from 3-5 p.m.

Participants will form teams and compete in a fast-paced scavenger hunt designed to challenge problem-solving skills.

Registration is required, only one member on the team has to be a YPN member.

Prizes will be awarded to the winning team.

Friday, April 24 – Sweet 16 Birthday Bash

Held at Wiley’s, 330 N. Main Avenue, from 4-7 p.m.

Celebrating 16 years of YPN, the finale event aims for a night of connection, celebration and looking ahead to the future.

Guests are encouraged to bring their business cards to be entered in a drawing to win a door prize.

“Whether you’re already involved or just curious, we invite you to join us and experience all that we have planned!” said Sioux Falls YPN Manager Jaci Pieters in a news release.
