A petition has been started to include ADHD medication in your health insurance. Currently, the mutuality steps in for ADHD medication until your 18th birthday – however, ADHD obviously doesn't disappear after that and as many of us have found out: the medication is very expensive. Personally I have to go to the Netherlands every 3 months just to get a slightly more affordable version of the meds that I need.

Don't feel in any way obliged to sign, but I wanted to share incase fellow ADHD'ers are interested or you know someone who might be!

  1. Signed. I only got diagnosed when I was like 24 so I feel like I am owed several years of cheap meds. 😉

  2. I can barely believe that adhd meds aren’t reinbursed, knowing how easily doctors prescribe them in this country.

  3. The situation is seriously pathetic. How can a medication prescribed by a psychiatrist not be covered just because some outdated perfection of what ADHD is hasn’t been reviewed?

Gotta say I really love spending 62€ every month just to feel normal. Especially on a student’s budget which leads to the eternal internal conflict of whether I deserve to take my medication every day or only when I need to be a good boy for the capitalist system to exploit me
