What parent accepts that their 18 – and 19-old daughters should travel by themselves in the US. Perhaps they have no fathers?

To be honest, “German” and “loosely planned” in the same sentence is highly suspicious even to me.
First off, this is a NYPost, which is a known shit stirrer.
Secondly, this would also get you sent back in Germany/EU as well. You can’t just show up to a country with no accommodation and expect to get past the border entry.
Lastly, this has been the norm at the US border for global entry for a number of years and is not something recent. You have always needed to say your reason for staying, what you’re doing, where you’re staying, and what date you will return to your home country.
With that being said, if they were truly treated this poorly, that’s new and not okay.
Germany minus – 28%
Denmark minus – 34 %… Holidays in the US are so pupular like TESLA

I have been on many a loosely-planned trip, all over the world.
Even my German family is calling these two chuckleheads. Simply should have known better.
