The German producer price indices for beech showed in various directions in February 2025. On average, the index for log wood decreased by -0,5% to 127,6 points. B qualities reached the level of 121,8 points ( 0,6% ), to which 3 m lengths contributed with 0,2% to 104,3 points – and 5 m lengths with 0,2% to 125,7 .
C qualities in February reached 126,1 points (-1,41%) – in 3 m lengths 120,6 ( -3,0% ). 5 m lengths reached 117,2 points ( -1,4% ).
For oak pulpwood Destatis calculated an index of 91,6 points (-4,94%). Pulpwood of beech reached 131,4 points (1,72%). The hardwood pulpwood index arrived at 125,3 points ( -0,8% ).
