A cousin of mine was brought up to idolise two of my uncles who were arrogant, violent bullies and proud of it. They taught him to punch before he could read. When he ran into trouble with the cops for ‘solving’ his problems with his fists, all his parents could come up with was, “cAnNaBiS mAkEs hiM ViOleNt”.
I once saw a man in wexford get stabbed though the cheek with a broken bottle. It must have been the fault of alcohol and not the scumbag who did it.
