I am pretty sure its a scam but how does it work if it includes twint too? Optional buyer has only 28 friends, new fb account too.
I am aware of the usual post/curier thing but never seen this one before..

  1. He wants ur twint? So he wants to pay you. What do u think can be considered scam here?

If he doesnt pay after he got ur twint just dont give it to him brother.

  2. I’m not sure how he can scam you with Twint, unless he can do something with your number (which may be risky, assuming he doesn’t already know).

Apart from that, the only thing he could try is to send you an offer on twint and expect you to accept it, which sounds surreal, because who would fall for that lol. I’m also pretty sure that you have to give your full adress on Twint, which also only works for swiss residents. Therefore, who would want to get caught in such a way?

Someone also mentioned the Twint-QR-Code-scam. If he doesn’t want your number, just ignore him and don’t do anything. Also make sure you don’t automatically allow a huge amount of money to be transferred from your twint account.

  3. Only thing is to get the number from you. Otherwise you can ask for good old bank transfer or just hold it for him.

  4. Multiple options I can think of:

    1. Really wants the item, because they believe it’s a very good deal, and paying you reduces the risk of you selling to a higher bidder before you get it.
    2. They really just want your phone number to take the communication off of marketplace, then TWINT “mysteriously” won’t work so they suggest to pay by courier instead.
    3. They’ll “accidentally” overpay from someone else’s compromised Twint account, and need you to send the money back to a different account within 6 hours, or their baby will starve to death and be eaten by wolves.

The fact that they talk about an unspecified “der Artikel” is too big of a red flag, so my advice is don’t engage.

    There you have your answer

  6. He offered to pay you. Should be OK as long as he pays you. Then he will come pick it up when you get back. This is normal in every way.

  7. The tone is so scammy. You are willing to hold it and they are least worried about giving you money in advance just like that. Almost insisting that you take advance payment from them, or in other words insisting that you share your Twint. I won’t.

  8. You know there are still honest people in the world?

  9. Ask him to send you his Twint Number, so you can send him a payment request.

  10. And please, never tell anybody you don’t know, who you are giving your address, you’re not at home.

  11. Especially with twint there are so many scammers arounf
