  6. Why would you quit? Get fired for doing the right thing. Stay there and resist. These TV producers and news anchors are so rich. They don’t think about the consequences of them leaving. To them it’s just about being inconvenienced.

  9. A few weeks ago 60 Minutes had an absolute bullshit story about smuggling from Canada across the US border, clearly timed along with Trump’s 51st state bullshit. It was wag-the-dog disgusting.

  11. It’s been interesting watching this story play out over the past few months. The FTC is stalling the Paramount Global/Skydance merger because of this. Shari Redstone wants this merger over with asap so she can cash out (not to mention she personally chose Skydance over other companies who put in higher bids, which has the shareholders ready to sue due to the the lack of fiduciary responsibility to them). 

    The administration wants a payment from Paramount Global for this perceived transgression against them. They started investigating them for “DEI practices”, which caused Paramount Global to immediately capitulate. Shari’s a longtime friend of Trump & from her perspective I can imagine that these changes would allow the merger to occur. However, I wouldn’t be shocked if this is delayed for as long as possible.

  18. Has the regular channel outlets so greedy that they no longer can survive without charging customers for viewing. 60 minutes is a staple in our society and I’m afraid of all the government interference.

  19. Trump has them by the Skydance… and they are willing to toss out a pillar of journalistic integrity to minimize the possibility of getting on the god-king’s bad side and potentially botching the deal.

    What they don’t get is that he doesn’t have a good side. Everyone who plays stupid games with diaper Donny, always win stupid prizes eventually.
