LIVE: Karen Read Murder Trial — MA v. Karen Read — Day One

Karen Read is back on trial again after investigators say she drove drunk, hit her Boston cop boyfriend, John O’Keefe, then left him to die in the snow. O’Keefe was found dead outside the home of fellow Boston police officer Brian Albert, in Canton, Massachusetts. In July of 2024, a judge declared a mistrial in her first trial. Read has been charged with second-degree murder, motor vehicle manslaughter, and leaving the scene of a collision causing death.

  1. Why did it take so long to start cpr? As a paramedic firefighter, he should know to start cpr when there was “no signs of life” not get up go walk around and talk to the women 🙄🙄 then get the ok from the other paramedic! Hes insufferable

  2. This case should never be happening except against all the cops and conspirators. This judge is also as corrupt as the cops and prosecutors are!

  6. The lack of investigation alone is reasonable doubt. I don't even have to get into alternative theories. The burden is on the prosecution to prove her guilt, not the defense to prove her innocence.

  7. I would like to see where Karen was parked at the Albert’s house and where John was as found. How they say she hit him? Did she back up? If so why? Was she parked on the street. It just doesn’t make since after looking at the drive way and street why she would have been backed up

  8. I love how she said you’ll have all the evidence but the first trial she told the Jury that they had enough evidence they didn’t need no more

  25. What difference does it make if we don’t hear it? Are supposed to believe the guy who can’t remember anything else?

    Can we hear it?!! Did I miss something?

  27. The state should not have tried to rehabilitate him. I don’t see it helping. All he knows is that she said it three times, or two! Other than that, he does not remember. Just leave it!
