    There have been theories that Trump would kill FEMA and save the federal disaster relief funding only for the States who voted for him in 2024, and Republican Governors who’ve been actively trying to help forward his platform.

    Now as covered by [MSNBC](https://www.msnbc.com/top-stories/latest/fema-north-carolina-washington-recovery-funds-rcna201417), so far that’s true for Washington, which [went 39.01% to Trump in 2024](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_States_presidential_election_in_Washington_(state)), and he’s said he wants to withhold disaster relief funds from California, which [went 38.33% to Trump in 2024](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_States_presidential_election_in_California).

    However, he’s also withheld disaster relief funds from North Carolina, [which went 50.86% to Trump in 2024](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_States_presidential_election_in_North_Carolina), and now Arkansas, [which went 64.20% to Trump in 2024](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_United_States_presidential_election_in_Arkansas).

    So this is the first sign I’m seeing that his disaster relief funding isn’t being restricted by political allegiance, but perhaps withholding federal disaster relief altogether.

    It’s gonna be awesome to watch states like Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma & Mississippi fall off the financial cliff. and when those soy farmers have to trash an entire crop because they cants sell it overseas? Damn that will be funny.
    They voted for this. This is what they wanted. You made the conscious decision to lose your farm, home or business. WINNING!!

  32. As a voter in a reliably blue state I say that actually this is exactly what I *DO* want my tax dollars to go toward. I wish trump and sanders weren’t hypocritical assholes. But I am *much* more concerned about the citizens of Arkansas who have died, been injured, or become homeless or jobless.

  33. As a person who lives in Arkansas (unwillingly, my job is too good to leave at this time), she can kick rocks, and I find it funny that we got denied it, guess we will have to tap into the 3 billion dollar surplus we have….oh wait …she’s wasted most of it already ….

    But yeah Arkansas is poor AF, and the state does nothing but these folks all think a Democrat is gonna take away their guns and their way of life. But they’re too dumb to understand that their way of life is horrible. Living in a shack for generations is not a way to live.
