  1. Wouldn’t most of these apply to all countries?

  2. For a long time NL was routinely one of the best ranked in terms of train system. But we’re dropping hard and fast in those rankings. Such a shame.

I hope it’s just temporarily- I once read it’s amongst other stuff just timing, a lot of connections were build shortly after WWII and need big renovation every ~ 40 years, so right about now for the second time. And that combined with government after government not spending enough is catching up on us.

  3. Another thing that I didn’t mention here, if you’re below 2 meters tall, no dutch blonde Amazon will reproduce with you.

  4. Our tax system is one of the simplest ones on the planet. Go and try the German one if you like challenges. (And yes I have done it so know what I’m talking about.).

  5. Then maybe don’t come to our country. There is this well known fact about the Netherlands that everyone speaks English, but what many people don’t take into consideration is the willingness to speak English to a foreigner in your own country.

  6. Honestly, the language doesn’t seem too hard, it’s probably a struggle to understand some accents though, which happens with english and britain too.

  7. No one mentioning the food? Big frikandelbroodje win in my book

  8. Train problems? Isn’t that something we’re not suposed to notice in Reddit, like the existence of women on the platform?

  9. I once got proposed by one Dutch to move next her, I don’t know if I dodged a bullet or missed a good occasion.
