Musk to reduce Doge role after Tesla profits plunge

1. It’s really weird how the stock is detached from the company. Profits plunge by 71% compared to 2024, stock goes up 5%. I wonder how this will continue. Hopefully that stock crashes completely and we’ll see a full on crash out by Musk. He deserves the worst.

2. “getting the government house in order is mostly done”.

   He is an absolute moron. He slashed a tiny percent of spending while overall spending is up, cut vital programs like HIV medicine to literal children, his spending freezes are being contested in court, and he created a cyber security disaster.

   And now he’s patting himself on the back and saying he’s done a good job? 

3. If he thinks that reducing his meddling will help Tesla sales get back to where the board wants them to be, I think he’s in for a surprise. For most of the world, it’s pretty obvious to see a non-elected billionaire pulling strings that are favouring his company directly (and indirectly by removing parts of government that might investigate). He thinks it’s all clever and sneaky and has the wool pulled over everyone’s eyes, but I suspect a lot of potential consumers won’t pick Tesla when they need a new vehicle
