Seems to be an error in the headline – a generous boss would give each his workers a permanent pay increase greater than CPI, not a handful of bank notes one time.
I wish as a society we could get away from this notion that companies should take home huge profits while their workers are on minimum wage.
That should see them good for about a month or two.
