I spent a weekend in Washington DC this month and I heard many people speaking Russian. In restaurants, in the street, supermarkets etc…
It’s not my first trip to DC but I don’t recall hearing Russians so frequently before and and found it very intriguing. I’m not sure if it’s because I paid attention or if there’s a sudden increase of the Russian speaking « community » in DC.
