Musk vows to spend more time on Telsa after net income falls 71% • FRANCE 24 English

Tesla CEO Elon Musk says he will be dedicating more time to the electric vehicle company starting from next month, after the firm published disappointing first-quarter results. The US carmaker has suffered from political blowback because of Musk’s involvement with the Trump administration, as well as intense competition globally. Also in this edition, the International Monetary Fund slashes its global growth forecast because of Trump’s trade war.

  17. Elon should swallow the bitter pill and sell his share in Tesla. He's developed a chronic anti-Midas touch.

  26. The numbers is even worse, because the 400 number is fake income money being paid to Tesla due to emission standards purchased by other car companies (That is going to be removed by DOGE). Removing any non-car income and the company is in the red and dying.

  27. Twitter/X was the first time that Musk had operational control, the other firms were acquired and investors/board have adult supervision doing the real work. Now doing the same with DOGE as when he ripped up Twitter/X.

  29. The 400 million in profit came from interest on cash reserves and selling emissions credits. If it weren’t for those categories teSSla would have lost $600,000,000 in the last quarter. TeSSla has failed.

  39. The best thing Musk could do would be resign and let a new Chairman and CEO run it like an actual business instead of a billionaire vanity project.
