  6. Anyone else remember a time where talking up your uber-patriotism and needing to fly flags was very un-British and a bit cringey. Every so often yes raise a flag and get out the bunting but this is not who we ever were. To me anyone needing to always cover themselves in all of this just makes them come across as dripping in inadequacy.

  8. I was told this week that flying an English flag was the same as flying a swastika, it made me sad so I’m glad to see people still have pride in it.
