Plans for huge London theme park to rival Disneyland scrapped suddenly

  1. seems like zero loss to me I’m afraid, anything like a US Disneyland isn’t something I’d want to import – I guess they will build flats on it, but not retail units please.

  2. Looks like the plans have been withdrawn in their current form, while the developers come up with an amended plan, to take into account the environmental and Freeport objections.

  3. It hasn’t been scrapped at all, this is clickbait.

They’ve withdrawn the planning application in order to resubmit with changes in accordance with the requirements for the SSSI etc. It even says that in the article.

The planning application will absolutely continue, but whether it ever gets approved is another thing.

  4. Central London is already one big imperial theme park. “Roll up, roll up, and see what’s left of the metropole that once ruled the world!”

  5. Honestly when Paramount pulled out, I was expecting it to die, and now BBC/ITV have done the same, whats the actual point if you can’t get big franchises there?

  6. Hopefully just gets scrapped. It’s a regular birdwatching site for me. One of the best in the London surrounds. Would be a crime to build on it
