I feel like a lot of Catholics just do not give a fuck about Catholicism. The pope is infallible, he cannot be wrong. If you claim you’re innocent, you must also claim that the entire structure of the Catholic church has been corrupted.
When I saw “convicted cardinal,” I immediately assumed MUCH worse crimes. Financial crimes? Meh. Let them deal with it amongst themselves. I’m just released he isn’t a child diddler like so many other priests.
