The dog was on the lead the full time as I know he could bolt at anytime, my girlfriend had the ball thrower out in the video to try scare the cow away I think people mistook this for us throwing it in the field.

  1. People reposting videos and making up their own natives? What devilish times do we live?

  2. I’m not sure it helps much, but some of us spotted you had the dog on a lead. Glad all are ok!

I’m betting you are not taking that path again for a while though lol.

Edit – Clearing up slight ambiguity.

  3. Just a FYI.

A farmer is well within his rights to shoot a dog he perceives is distressing his livestock.

If anyone is walking their dog near farmland they must keep their dog under control at all times for this you must have them on a leash.

I’m not saying this is or isn’t what the OP is doing but it is something that the general public should be aware of.

Yes Farmers are permitted to carry firearms on their property in the UK.

  4. It’s entirely your perogative but have you ever considered shutting off the cameras, Internet, Instagram, etc. while out on hikes? To me that’s about half the joy of getting out into the countryside.

  5. So the nay sayers don’t understand the right of way in Scotland. Just ignore

  6. u/[fugaziGlasgow](https://www.reddit.com/user/fugaziGlasgow/), tell me, why did you post the previous video without any context or heck saying there was no lead when it was clearly visible.

With that lack of context why did you then start making up scenarios about the situation casting u/ScottishCannabis and his partner in the worst possible light? Was it literally just this interaction: [Cow attack on public path in Scotland. : r/CrazyFuckingVideos](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrazyFuckingVideos/comments/1k69xp8/comment/mosm1r6/?context=3) ?

Because if so, very poor show. Congrats for adding a tiny bit of misinformation on an internet chockfull of it.

  7. I’ve said it before A mother Cow with a calf is fucking dangerous and you got lucky. Never get between a Cow and its calf.

Had the other cows been out of that field they would have joined in too.

  8. I live in the countryside and can confirm that cows are scary as fuck.

I walk my dog past them every day (we’re on a country road, they’re in fields behind fences on either side of the road) and every single day they come running up to the fence and try to get us to square go them, asking where we’re fae and telling us to get back tae oor ain bit.

They’re basically the neds of the animal world. Total dicks.

  9. My mum has never liked cows & now feels justified after various stories of attacks & death.
I did have to remind her of the time that a whole herd of the damn things invaded our garden & I was sent to deal with them – I’d have been about 10! 🤣
