Carol Chapman Canada Day chair, John Rice from the Strathcona Regional District, Amber Mairer, manager of Quality Foods, Campbell River Mayor Kermit Dahl and co-chair Ian Baikie launched the celebrations, which include the largest Canada Day fireworks in the province.
Chapman noted the celebrations showcase Canadian pride and include a kidfest, market, two live stages, a parade, parachutes, Quality foods Canada Day cupcakes, a firefighters pancake breakfast, skateboard competition, wrestling, First Nations dancers, live street music , dog photo booth and much more.
