Ukraine: Trump says he thinks he has a deal with Russia • FRANCE 24 English
US President Donald Trump said he believed he had reached an agreement with his Russian and Ukrainian counterparts to end the war in Ukraine. He shared that it had been more difficult than expected to work with Volodymyr Zelensky than with Vladimir Putin. Asked about the American proposal calling for recognition of Russia’s annexation of the Crimean peninsula, Donald Trump sidestepped the question, saying he had “no favorites” and simply wanted the war to end.

They way he talks about a deal with Russia (a country) vs Zelensky (a person) shows his dislike for Zelensky. Its sickening
He can't have a deal with Putin without agreeable from Zelensky .About time Trump keeps his nose out of other countries business. He doesn't own Ukraine snd he's a liar whrn he says he had no favourites. He us Putins lapdog
He doesn’t need a deal, Ukraine does. It’s fairly basic but clearly above this man’s intellect and instead greed. US interests should be secondary not the deal driver.
Okay Germany, if we give you Poland you leave us alone, right?
Nuke Kiev
Ukraine are the victims Donald.
Donald is pushing that Putin propaganda again, surprise surprise. But the best surprise of all is that Ukraine probably kept a few warheads knowing the USA and UK had no intention of honoring the Budapest agreement to protect Ukraine's 1991 border for giving up its nukes.
Trump just wants to be able to do business with Russia asap again, like in the past, and Zelensky actually trying to get his country treated with respect is just a pothole to Trump
“Vladimir, STOP!”
America, the Budapest Memorandum is a stain on American credibility. America gave its word to Ukraine, security in exchange for disarmament. And when it mattered most, America is now stepping back. What message does that send to the world? That U.S. promises are only good until they’re inconvenient? That Americas word means nothing once the political winds shift? It’s like a bank ripping up a 20-year mortgage deal and demanding everything up front. If the so-called global leader can so casually abandon its commitments, then no treaty, no alliance, no agreement is safe. America is setting a precedent, and if America is not held to the agreement, it’s one that makes the world more unstable.
