This may be a long shot, but I’m looking to see if I can obtain information, records or proof of a claim in a history report along with possible photos.
I acquired a rare car that was ordered brand new in Belgium by a guy by the name of Andre Pelgrims (Maison Pelgrims in Brussels) in 1954… In 1964, the car was purchased by a student in Leuven by the name of Lance Sterman. He graduated medical school there in 1971 and made his way to the US with the car around 1980.
Mr. Sterman owned the car for 60 years before passing away last year after which it was acquired by me.
In a historic report, it was claimed that the owner of the car between Andre Pelgrims and Lance Sterman was King Baudouin (or was related to that family), but no documentation for that information was provided.
I am looking for any information that can make an official tie from the King to the automobile.
1954 Aston Martin DB2/4
LML/576
VB6E/50/1299
There are records of the king owning two other cars of the same make and model.
This particular car is the only left hand drive one produced with a sunroof… so if there is a photo of one with a sunroof back in the day, then that is it.
Having no contacts in Belgium, I don’t know what resources are available there to help.

welcome!
King Baudouin was known to like (fast) cars and motorcycles, and Aston Martin in particular.
between 1954 and 1964 is plausable. I doubt there’s any records left, or accessible. on top, the king was quite discreet, so there won’t be a lot of photos.
Have you checked with the manufacturer?
Have you checked if the car was ever repainted, or if it was originally delivered in a different color?
use google tranlsate on this

The King had this model, but it was burgundy red and was sold at a Bonhams auction in 2011.

The kings aston martin was sold at auction and its burgundy red.
Its possible he had two but I doubt it. I think he would have rather bought a different car
Maybe e-mail the brussels auto museum. [https://www.autoworld.be/en/contact](https://www.autoworld.be/en/contact)
They have royal cars on display, just an idea.
King Baudouin owned a 2nd model of the DB/2, a blue one. Also well documented.
However I believe I have first hand info about your car, feel free to dm me.
